About Our Paper
120 gsm paper for everyday plans, notes, and ideas. Our Blank, Soft Dot Grid, and Soft Ruled Notes planner inserts use 120 gsm uncoated writing paper. Choose the page style that suits your routine, with the same paper weight across these three core refill options.
Our 120 gsm planner paper
GSM means grams per square meter: it describes paper weight. A 120 gsm sheet has more weight per unit area than an 80 gsm sheet. It does not mean each planner page weighs 120 grams, and it is not a direct measurement of paper thickness.
Paper weight is one useful detail when choosing planner inserts. Surface texture, ink, pen tip, and how heavily you write also affect the experience. The GSM number alone cannot tell you whether a particular pen will bleed through.
Three page styles for your everyday writing
- Blank Planner Inserts give you open space for lists, journaling, sketches, and your own layouts.
- Soft Dot Grid Planner Inserts use a 5 mm grid for notes, trackers, boxes, and flexible planning.
- Soft Ruled Notes Planner Inserts use 6 mm lines for meeting notes, everyday ideas, and longer entries.
These planner refills are available in M5, A7 / Pocket, A6 Personal, and A5. Check the size and compatibility guide before ordering: page dimensions and hole spacing matter as much as the size name.
Choosing pens and highlighters
Start with a pen you enjoy using, then try a small section before filling a page. For gel pens, fountain pens, and highlighters, check the back of the sheet and allow the ink to dry before turning the page or highlighting over it. Results can vary with the pen, ink, pressure, and repeated strokes.
If fountain pen performance is essential to your setup, test your specific nib and ink combination. We do not promise that every fountain pen, marker, or ink will behave the same way on this paper.
Ghosting and bleed through
Ghosting means you can see a shadow of writing through the sheet. Bleed through means ink has penetrated the paper and appears on the reverse side. They are different, even though both affect double-sided writing.
Our core inserts are double-sided, but 120 gsm does not guarantee zero show-through with every ink. A quick pen check helps you decide which tools suit your notes and planning style.
Paper weight in a ring planner
For the same page size and sheet count, higher-GSM paper adds more paper weight to your setup. How many pages fit comfortably also depends on actual sheet thickness, ring size, dividers, and accessories. Leave room for pages to turn freely, especially in compact M5 and Pocket planners.
