Planner Size & Compatibility Guide
Choose planner refills by measurements, not by the size name alone. M5, A7, Pocket, A6, Personal, and A5 can mean different dimensions across brands. Match the finished page size, ring count, and hole spacing before ordering.

Important compatibility notes
- M5 / Mini 5: JOYJOY uses a 67 × 105 mm five-hole format. Other sellers may use narrower pages.
- A7 / Pocket: JOYJOY’s current format is 80 × 120 mm with six holes. “A7” and “Pocket” are not universal labels.
- A6 Budget Binder: JOYJOY’s 95 × 170 mm format is close to Personal size in width but may be shorter than other Personal refills. It is not ISO A6.
- A5: JOYJOY’s 142 × 208 mm inserts are slightly narrower than standard A5 paper at 148 × 210 mm.
How to measure a refill that already fits
- Remove one page and measure its finished width and height.
- Count the punched holes.
- Measure from the center of one hole to the center of the next.
- For six-hole pages, record the larger gap between the two groups of three.
- Compare the results with the selected product page before checkout.
Which size should I choose?
- Choose M5 for the smallest carry and short entries.
- Choose A7 / Pocket for compact planning with a little more writing space.
- Choose A6 Budget Binder for portable budgeting, cash envelopes, and medium-length entries.
- Choose A5 for desk use, larger handwriting, study, household planning, or longer notes.
Planner size FAQ
Can M5 inserts fit a JOYJOY A7 binder?
Yes. JOYJOY M5 inserts use five holes at 19 mm center spacing, so the holes can align with five rings in a JOYJOY A7 / Pocket six-ring binder. One ring remains unused, and the M5 page is smaller than an A7 / Pocket page. This is a one-way fit: A7 / Pocket inserts do not fit an M5 five-ring binder. M5 inserts do not fit JOYJOY A6 or A5 binders because those sizes use two separated groups of three rings.
Is JOYJOY A6 the same as ISO A6?
No. JOYJOY’s A6 budget binder inserts are 95 × 170 mm. Compare actual measurements instead of relying on the A6 label.
Will JOYJOY A5 inserts fit every A5 planner?
Not necessarily. JOYJOY A5-style inserts are 142 × 208 mm and slightly narrower than standard A5 paper. Check ring spacing and page measurements.
