Social Platform API Privacy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
This notice supplements the JoyJoyPlanner Privacy Policy and explains how JoyJoyPlanner uses official application programming interfaces (APIs) and authorization tools provided by social platforms.
Social Platform API Integrations
JoyJoyPlanner uses official APIs provided by Pinterest, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), YouTube, and TikTok to manage content for JoyJoyPlanner's own business accounts. These integrations may retrieve account and content information, review performance, prepare content, upload content in a draft, private, test, or scheduled state where supported, and publish, correct, or remove content after approval by the authorized account owner.
Information We Process
Depending on the platform and permissions approved by the account owner, we may process business account identifiers, profile information, boards or content collections, content and media metadata, publishing status, organic performance analytics, and OAuth authorization information. We request only the permissions reasonably necessary for enabled functions. We do not request or collect social platform passwords or session cookies.
How We Use Information
We use information obtained through these integrations only to perform functions authorized by the owner of the connected JoyJoyPlanner business account, including selecting a destination account or content collection, preventing duplicate submissions, confirming publishing status, reviewing performance, handling errors, and removing or correcting content. We do not sell information obtained through social platform APIs, use it to build profiles of unrelated individuals, or use it to target people with advertising outside the connected platform.
Approval and Publishing
Connecting an account and granting API permissions requires action by the authorized account owner through the platform's official authorization screen. Content is not made public through an integration without the account owner's specific approval of the content or an explicit publishing plan containing individually identified content.
Storage, Security, and Retention
OAuth access and refresh tokens are treated as confidential credentials and stored in access-restricted systems. Public source code and publishing logs do not contain passwords, client secrets, or access tokens. Information retrieved from a social platform is accessed live when reasonably possible and is not retained longer than necessary or permitted by that platform's developer terms. We may retain content supplied by JoyJoyPlanner for publishing, owner approval records, timestamps, error records, and limited technical identifiers needed to prevent duplicate actions, document authorized activity, or reverse an action. We delete or de-identify retained integration data when it is no longer needed, when access is disconnected, or when required by platform terms or law.
Disconnection and Deletion
The account owner can revoke access through the connected platform's account settings. To request disconnection or deletion of locally retained integration data, email joyjoyplanner@gmail.com with the subject line "Social Platform Data Request." Revoking access stops future API activity but may not automatically delete content already published on a social platform. Published content can be removed through the platform or through an authorized removal request where the API supports it.
