JoyJoy A7 Pocket planner inserts measure 80 × 120 mm and use six 4 mm holes with 19 mm center-to-center spacing between adjacent holes. Those measurements—not the words “A7,” “Pocket,” or “mini”—are what determine whether a refill fits your binder. Planner brands use size names differently, so compare a page that already fits before ordering new inserts.

A7 paper is not always the same as an A7 ring-planner insert
ISO A7 paper is 74 × 105 mm. Ring-planner sellers often use “A7” more loosely for a compact six-ring format closer to Pocket size. That is why an online listing can say A7 while showing paper around 80 or 81 mm wide and 120 mm high.
Pocket sizing also varies. Some current planner-size guides list Pocket pages at 81 × 120 mm, while others use taller pages. Even when two pages use six holes with 19 mm spacing, a difference in width or height can make the page rub the cover, stick out, or feel cramped around tabs.
For a brand-specific reference, Filofax publishes organizer sizes, but a Filofax label does not create a fit guarantee for another brand. Use it as a comparison point, then return to the actual measurements of your binder and refills.
How to check whether A7 inserts fit your binder
- Remove one page that already fits. A known-good refill is more reliable than measuring the outside cover.
- Measure the finished page. Record width and height in millimeters.
- Count the holes. JoyJoy A7 Pocket pages have six holes; JoyJoy M5 pages have five.
- Measure center to center. Measure from the center of one hole to the center of the next. JoyJoy uses 19 mm adjacent spacing.
- Check cover clearance. Close the binder with the page inside. The outer edge should not rub the zipper, snap, pen loop or cover edge.
If all five checks match, the refill is a much stronger fit candidate. If the seller does not publish measurements, ask before buying rather than relying on a size word alone.
Common signs that an insert does not fit
- The holes align at the top but not at the bottom.
- The page turns only when several rings are forced sideways.
- The outer edge sticks past the cover or touches a zipper.
- Tabs cannot clear the pen loop or closure.
- The page is technically punchable but leaves too little writing space beside the rings.
Do not enlarge holes simply to force a mismatch. Oversized holes can let pages shift, tear or sit unevenly on the rings.

FAQ
Are A7 and Pocket planner inserts the same size?
Not always. Some sellers use A7 and Pocket for similar six-ring pages, but dimensions and punch positions vary. Compare the exact page size, hole count and spacing.
Will ISO A7 paper fit a Pocket six-ring binder?
Not automatically. ISO A7 paper is 74 × 105 mm and is not a ring-planner compatibility standard. It would still need the correct punch pattern and enough usable width for the binder.
What hole spacing do JoyJoy A7 Pocket inserts use?
JoyJoy A7 Pocket inserts use six 4 mm holes with 19 mm center-to-center spacing between adjacent holes.
Can A7 inserts fit an M5 binder?
No. JoyJoy A7 Pocket inserts use six holes and measure 80 × 120 mm. JoyJoy M5 inserts use five holes and measure 67 × 105 mm.
